A Cost Effective Alternative To Traditional Training Methods

In a country which has a skills shortage and where effective communication with clients and prospects is vital to ensure economic growth, various training methods are necessary if skills are to be used by all staff on a consistent basis.

As a result of almost two decades of experience in the training field Renett Grové and her associates still provide traditional training courses but this form of training alone is not sufficient to guarantee that all sales inquiries are capitalised on and clients always receive service excellence. In this fast changing world where staff are subjected to all sorts of stress and pressure, individual coaching must be immediately available when a situation arises to ensure that skills are sharpened and maintained.

In view of this, a personal telephonic coaching service, which can be initiated by the staff member or a member of the management team, is offered. At a fee of R80-00 per month per staff member, a DYNAMIC LIFE TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT is on call to assist with role-plays, individual coaching and alternative suggestions for dealing with complaints and queries from clients or even communication challenges with colleagues. Should we be busy consulting with another client at the time the staff member or management team member calls, there is a facility to leave a message and calls will be returned within two hours between 07H00 and 18H00. Callers from outside the Johannesburg area would be responsible for telephone costs of the actual consultation. All telephonic sessions will be backed up with comprehensive written material designed to address the specific situation.

The following services are also available to complement existing training strategies

Audiotapes and written self-help programmes can be designed which staff can use on an on-going basis to reinforce skills and maintain a positive and productive attitude. To produce the masters of such programmes the fee would be R4000-00 per programme if studio quality for the audiotapes were required or R2000-00 if a good quality, but not studio quality, was acceptable. You can reproduce your own copies or a quotation for copies will be provided once numbers are known.

It would also be useful to design specific scripts that provide the best possible answers to queries that can be expected from callers. This can be a powerful tool for use in internal training and the cost of a comprehensive script would be R5500-00.

Training programmes can be designed to be used by team leaders, management or internal trainers and TRAIN-THE-TRAINER programmes and customised TRAIN-THE-TRAINER programmes are also available. The rights to use the material for internal company training only would be R4500-00 per programme and the total fee for a 3-day train-the-trainer programme which would take place at our facility in Randburg is R5500-00 per delegate.

Skills Required when Communicating in Writing

“Skills Required when Communicating in Writing” can be presented as a one-day programme in the standard face-to-face setting but it is most effective when presented as an inter-active process through e-mail and telephone contact between the delegate and trainer. The fee for the individual coaching sessions via e-mail and the telephone is R300-00 per week and this fee includes training manuals sent to delegates via e-mail in MS WORD format.  A pre-training assessment will be done before giving an estimate on how many weeks of training would be required.
